JWP provided inspection services for construction of storm/sanitary sewers and distribution water main work in Acacia Avenue.  Work included: installation of water mains, sewers and work inside Wood Duck Pond, to eliminate severe flooding in the area.

Resurfacing, Pavement Improvements and General Repairs at various locations, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens

JWP provided inspection services for the resurfacing with a 2″ asphaltic concrete wearing course over milled areas, installation of pedestrian ramps, new curbs/sidewalks.  Additional work was done for Hurricane Sandy repairs to 17 miles of roadways.    JWP Completion Date: 2015

JWP provided inspection services for the installation of storm sewers, catch basins, water mains, asphaltic wearing course, pavement milling, construction of new steel face concrete curbs and sidewalks.    JWP Completion Date: 2013

 

Reconstruction of Worth Street, Borough of Manhattan

Hesham Kotby, P. E.  provided Resident Engineering Inspection services for the reconstruction of Worth Street from Hudson Street in TriBeCa to Chatham Square in Chinatown.  Work included: Major upgrades of distribution water mains, storm sewers and underground utilities; tree mitigation; reconstruction of approx. 1-mile of Lower Manhattan congested streets; installation of 48-inch and 36-inch steel trunk water mains and rehabilitation of existing combined sewers; relocation and upgrading of underground utilities; completion of new roadway, curbs, sidewalks, street lights, traffic signals and site safety, maintenance and protection of traffic.

Coney Island Infrastructure Phase 3B, Borough of Brooklyn

NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) , Project Cost: $96 million

Hesham Kotby, P. E. served as Project Executive and Construction Manager and provided construction management and inspection services for this $96 million project to upgrade the neighborhood infrastructure facilities.  The improvements opened up eight development parcels, which made way for affordable housing and community facilities, retail spaces and mapping and construction of two new streets – Ocean Way and Parachute Way.  It also created a landscaped transition area between Coney West and MCU Park.  Work included: replacement of sanitary/storm sewers, water mains, sidewalks and curbs; installation of add’l sanitary/storm sewers, street lights, traffic signals and signage. 

Street grade elevations were raised to improve resiliency and to protect new storm sewer facilities.  The project was completed 1-year ahead of schedule.

Reconstruction of Broadway Phase I, Borough of Manhattan

HWMWTCA6A, NYC Dept. of Design and Construction, Project Cost: $48 million

Hesham Kotby, P. E.  provided Resident Engineering Inspection services for the replacement of aged water mains, sewers, street lights, traffic signals and underground utility facilities and for the construction of a new roadway with sidewalks and curbs on Broadway from Ann to Rector Streets. This was a federally funded $48 million project done on behalf of the NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) and utility operators.  Work included; mass excavation of entire length and width of roadway to expose utilities and identify and remove abandoned facilities.  Utilities were relocated; water main replacement of 12-inch and 20-inch water mains; rehabilitation of existing sewers, curbs, sidewalks, fire alarms, street lights and traffic signals, roadway restoration; removal of trolley tracks.

Storm and Sanitary Sewers and Water Mains Phase I, Borough of Brooklyn

CONISPH01, NYC Dept. of Design and Construction, Project Cost: $28 million

Hesham Kotby, P. E. provided Resident Engineering Inspection services for the construction of storm and sanitary sewers and distribution water mains in Coney Island.  This was a 3-year on-call contract project.  Work included:  installation of distribution water mains, complete with fire hydrants, sanitary sewers and various-sized storm and sanitary sewers; installation of manholes, catch basins and chute connections, construction of an outfall at Hart Place, in order to discharge stormwater runoff into the Coney Island Creek; curb and sidewalk restoration, concrete roadway base installation, asphalt paving and pavement marking.

JWP provided inspection services for installation of concrete steel-faced curbs, granite curbs, pedestrian ramps and concrete sidewalks.  JWP Completion date: Feb 2022

 

Hylan Boulevard Streetscape Improvements from Seaver to Stobe Avenues, Staten Island

JWP Engineering is providing inspection services for installation of sidewalks, sewer, water main, BMP, street lighting and traffic work.  Completion date: May 2023

 

DDC Cleaning and Televising Sewers, Citywide-NYC

JWP is providing Resident Engineering Inspection services for the Requirements project for DDC Cleaning and Televising of Sewers, Citywide in NYC.
